Ground Breaking News: Construction of Hillside Cabins is Underway!
Contractors began site work on Wednesday, January 14th! Over the next four months, four of the Hillside Cabins shared conceptually over the course of the campaign will be erected on the entrance hillside where Hen House once stood. These cabins are fully funded by donations and pledge payments made between 2019 and 2025. The project is expected to be completed in May of 2026.
A Closer Look
Each of the four cabin will be equipped with two queen sized beds, a private restroom, sitting area, and deck, and be easily accessible to all guests. These spaces are specifically designed to be near the heart of camp, adding additional housing options for retreats booking Upper Camp, and will bring our private room capacity in this area to 23 rooms.
The Future
The final phase of the campaign will be to rebuild the Retreat Village! Ideally this would take place in 2026, with the pivotal point being completion of fundraising. As in past phases of the campaign, we are relying on grassroots fundraising efforts from the Mikell Community to see us across the finish line!
So Whats Next?
Based on current projections we will need to raise $800,000 in additional funds to complete the project and meet our goal of $5,000,000.
